FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How would you describe your style?
My goal is to turn emotions into memories, and to build a recollection of moments that will help you remember your happiness and your joy. We will create images that catch the atmosphere and the vibe of your wedding day, for natural looking photographs.
On the other hand, I do believe there is a time and a place for beautiful posed images: we will of course take wedding portraits of you, and of you with your family and friends if you like, but the goal is always to create very genuine and natural looking images. No extreme or cheesy poses.
I feel awkward posing in front of the camera, is it a problem?
Not at all, it’s my job to help you feel at ease during the entire session. Through the years I’ve learned how to direct people who aren’t used to have their portrait taken. I promise you, it will be painless and fun. Speaking of which, remind me of telling you about that time I had to dance in front of a couple to make them laugh.
What do your clients say about you?
You can read some of my customers reviews here, scrolling down the page.
What do I need to do on my wedding day?
We will meet before your wedding day in order to get to know each other and talk about your wishes and your needs. This way, when the day comes I will take care of everything, while you enjoy your time with your family and friends.
We’re eloping in Copenhagen, where are we taking our bridal portraits?
Copenhagen is the perfect city for eloping couples, have a look at this blog post.
What if it rains?
That’s a very good question, especially for weddings in Denmark!
As I explain here though, wet weather isn’t necessarily a bad thing: the light and the colors look much better, and the people stop paying attention to me, giving the photos a sense of genuine and natural feeling.
Coming from sunny Italy to rainy Denmark I had to learn how to work in any weather condition, so don’t worry: I’ve got you.
What happens if you are ill?
As a member of the wedding photographer network in Copenhagen, I have reciprocal arrangements with other local photographers, in order to quickly fix this kind of issues. In the event of illness (or any other kind of emergency), I will find someone to replace me, someone of equal quality or better.
However, I can assure you that to this date this has never happened.
How many photographs will we receive?
The number of photos taken depends on many things: hours of coverage, numbers of guests, events happening, and so forth.
What I can tell you for sure is that you will have all the good images I take during the time I spend with you: I don’t believe in a “fixed” number of photos, because what if I promise you - for example - 200 photos and I have 250 that are really good? Are those extra 50 photos going to be forgotten in my hard disk forever? I think you should have them all.
It’s your memories after all, and it’s important to me that you get the best out of it.
How are we going to receive the photos?
You will receive an email with a link and a password that will allow you access to a cloud storage.
Whoever has both link and password gets access to your wedding photos, so it will be easier to share them with family and friends.
Be aware that I will keep a copy of your wedding photographs for the rest of my life, so if anything happens and you lose them just get in touch with me and we’ll fix it.
How long will we be waiting for our photos?
I’m aware of how excited and impatience people are to see their wedding photos, and the idea of having to wait for months must be excruciating.
For this reason, the final set is usually ready within 2 weeks (during peak season this may be slightly longer).
However, I will email you a couple of photos within a day, for you to re-live your day through, until all the images are ready.
Can we share our photos on social media and with family/friends?
Yes, absolutely. You are free to use your photos for personal purpose, so you can share, post or print your photographs as you like.
Do you edit all your images?
Yes, I do. Every photograph that you receive has been edited, one at a time.
Can we get RAW files?
The raw files are never available. This is because editing is part of the entire process (as much as taking photos), which is the reason why you hire me in the first place. All photographs are delivered as high quality JPEG image files.
Asking for RAW files would be like asking a chef to give you the raw ingredients of his dish.
Do you do wedding cinematography?
Currently, I focus exclusively on wedding photography, as I want to give you the best quality of work, and I couldn’t possibly do that if I were trying to do two things at the same time.
Nevertheless, I will be more than happy to help you find someone for wedding cinematography. I’m in touch with some very talented videographer.
