FAQs

what to ask to a wedding photographer?

how would you describe your photography style?

I think that the main character of your wedding day is the bond between two people.

Wedding photography serves the purpose of turning emotions into images, and to do so the photographer needs to blend in the atmosphere. The less you see us, the more natural you’ll behave.

I do everything with this goal in my mind and I’m driven by the idea that it’s my duty and my responsibility to build the memories of your wedding day.

I feel awkward in front of the camera, is that a problem?

Not at all, and actually nobody knows how to pose in front of a camera.

It’s my job to help you feel at ease during the entire session.

Through the years I’ve learned how to direct people who aren’t used to have their portrait taken.

I promise you, it will be painless and even fun. Speaking of which, remind me of telling you about that time I had to dance in front of a couple to make them laugh.

we're eloping in Copenhagen, where can we take photos?

Copenhagen is the perfect location for eloping couples! The city center is fairly small, meaning that we can easily walk around. Also in there is absolutely no visual clutter around: no posters, no graffiti, no advertising. And this makes my job so much easier!

Regarding locations, have a look at this blog post for some ideas.

what is inclusivity to you?

As an intersectional LGBTQAI+ activist, I’m working hard to create a better wedding industry that serves everybody the same way.

Regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation, skin color, class, body, religion, etc.

All these identities need visual representation, just like anybody else.

I also wrote a book about it, read more here.

do you only work in Copenhagen?

Not at all, Copenhagen is the city where I live, but I actually work everywhere:

I’ll be happy to travel anywhere you want me.

what do your clients say about you?

I’m so grateful for all the sweet words my clients have had for me. You can read something here.

what happens if it rains?

That’s a very good question, especially for weddings in Denmark!

The good news is that wet weather isn’t necessarily a bad thing: the light and the colors look much better, and the people stop paying attention to me, giving the photos a sense of genuine intimacy and natural feeling.

Coming from sunny Italy to rainy Denmark, I’ve had to learn how to work in any weather condition, so don’t worry: I’ve got you.

what happens if you're ill on our date?

As a member of the wedding photographer network in Copenhagen, I have reciprocal arrangements with other local photographers, in order to quickly fix this kind of issues.

In the event of illness (or any other kind of emergency), I will find someone to replace me, someone of equal quality.

However, I can assure you that to this date this has never happened.

what do I need to do on my wedding day?

Nothing, just be yourself and enjoy the day!

We’ll do all the work before the day, in order to get to know each other and talk about your wishes and your needs.

This way, when the day comes I will take care of everything, while you enjoy your time with your spouse, family and friends.

how many photos will we receive?

The number of photos taken depends on many things: hours of coverage, numbers of guests, events happening, and so forth.

What I can tell you for sure is that you will have all the good images I take during the time I spend with you.

I don’t believe in a “fixed” number of photos, because what if I promise you - for example - 200 photos and I have 250 that are really good? Are those extra 50 photos going to be forgotten in my hard disk forever? I think you should have them all.

It’s your memories after all, and it’s important to me that you get the best out of it.

That being said, the rough number is around 40-50 photos per hour.

will our photos be safe?

Yes, and let me tell you why:

  • I always have two cameras, so if one breaks, there’s a back up

  • As soon as I get home, I save your photos on my computer and hard disks

  • I never erase memory cards before making sure your photos are saved

  • I will always have your photos in my archives

how are we going to receive our photos?

You will receive an email with a LINK to access a cloud storage, from where you can download your photos.

Your wedding photographs will stay there for a whole year, at my own expenses.

how long until will we receive our photos?

I’m aware of how excited and impatience people are to see their wedding photos, and the idea of having to wait for months must be excruciating.

For this reason, the final set is usually ready within 2-8 weeks, depending on how much time we spend together and on the season.

can we SHARE our photos with others?

Yes, absolutely. You are free to use your photos for personal purpose, so you can share, post or print your photographs as you like.

Sharing photos with other vendors though is a different scenario, because in this case the photos will be used for commercial purposes.

In this case, you can just tell the vendor to ask me directly, and we’ll find an agreement.

do you edit all the images we get?

Yes, every photograph that you receive has been edited, one by one.

I do use AI-powered tools to speed up parts of the process, but nothing is batch-exported or left unchecked. Each image is reviewed one by one before delivery.

Have a look at this blog post if you want to know more about it.

can we get the RAW FILES?

Yes, you can, for additional price.

However, keep in mind that editing is part of the entire artistic process (as much as taking photos), which is the reason why you hire me in the first place.

Asking for RAW files would be like asking a chef to give you the raw ingredients of their dish.

do you know any flower shop or make up artist?

Yes, I do! Have a look at this page.
